Automotive - School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

The following qualifications from AUR05 Automotive Industry Training Package Retail, Service and Repair are available as School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships:

• AUR20305 Certificate II in Bicycles
• AUR20405 Certificate II in Automotive Electrical Technology
• AUR20505 Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Servicing
• AUR20605 Certificate II in Marine
• AUR20705 Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical
• AUR20805 Certificate II in Outdoor Power Equipment
• AUR20905 Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Body
• AUR21005 Certificate II in Motor Sport
• AUR21105 Certificate II in Automotive Sales
• AUR21205 Certificate II in Automotive Warehousing/Distribution Operations
• AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology

 

Credit in the VCE

Credit will be dependent upon the amount of training undertaken based on nominal hours.

Students who complete a Certificate II School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship from AUR05 Automotive Industry Training Package Retail, Service and Repair will receive four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 and a Units 3 and 4 sequence on completion of a minimum of 360 hours of training.

Students who complete AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology will receive up to six units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 and two Units 3 and 4 sequences, depending on the number of hours of Certificate III level training successfully completed.

Apprentices who do not achieve the minimum requirements for the qualification, as listed in the Training Package, will receive from the RTO a Statement of Attainment listing those competencies achieved. A record of their achievement will also appear in their Training Record Book.

ENTER Contribution

Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for any of the School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships from the Automotive Training Package AUR05 (at Certificate II or III level) will be eligible for a 10% increment towards their ENTER (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).
