The following training package qualifications from AUR05 Automotive Industry Training Package Retail, Service and Repair are available as a School-based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program:
Students who complete 22015VIC Certificate II in Automotive Studies (pre-vocational) will be eligible for four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.
Students who complete a Certificate II School-based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program from AUR05 Automotive Industry Training Package Retail, Service and Repair will receive four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 and a Units 3 and 4 sequence. Students must complete a minimum of 360 hours of training.
Students who complete AUR30405 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology will receive up to six units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 and two Units 3 and 4 sequences, depending on the number of hours of Certificate III level training successfully completed.
Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for 22015VIC Certificate II in Automotive Studies (pre-vocational) or any of the School-based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program qualifications from the Automotive Training Package AUR05 (at Certificate II or III level) will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies). The increment is awarded by the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Further information can be found on the VTAC website at: www.vtac.edu.au
The VCE VET Automotive program does not offer scored assessment.
