Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Business Administration is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.
Credit in the VCEStudents who complete only the Certificate II in Business qualification will be eligible for up to three units credit at Units 1 and 2 towards their VCE. Students who complete the Certificate II in Business with additional units of competence from Certificate III in Business Administration will be eligible for four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.
ENTER ContributionStudents wishing to receive an ENTER contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Business Administration must undertake scored assessment for the purpose of achieving a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study. Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for a School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship program in Business Administration may choose to undertake scored assessment or may choose to opt-out and receive a a 10% increment towards their ENTER (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).
Scored AssessmentStudents wishing to receive a study score for VCE VET Business Administration must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 66% of the overall study score and an end of year examination, worth 34% of the overall study score. Scored assessment in 2008 is based on the Units 3 and 4 sequence of Certificate II in Business with additional units of competence from Certificate III in Business Administration.
