The following qualifications from the MEM05 Metals and Engineering Training Package are available as School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships:

Students can accumulate VCE VET units over more than one year.
Apprentices who do not achieve the minimum requirements for the qualification, as listed in the Training Package, will receive a Statement of Attainment from the RTO listing those competencies achieved. A record of their achievement will also appear in their Training Record Book.
There is no study score available for this program.
Students who receive a Units 3 and 4 sequence for a School-based Apprenticeship or Traineeship in Engineering Studies will be eligible for a 10% increment towards their ATAR (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).
