Qualifications

The following qualification is available as a VCE VET program:

  • PML30104 Certificate III in Laboratory Skills

Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Laboratory Skills is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

Credit in the VCE

Students who complete PML 30104 Certificate III in Laboratory Skills will be eligible for up to five units credit towards their VCE: three units at Units 1 and 2, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

ENTER Contribution

Students wishing to receive an ENTER contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Laboratory Skills must undertake scored assessment for the purpose of achieving a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study.

Scored Assessment

Students wishing to receive a study score for VCE VET Laboratory Skills must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 66% of the overall study score and an end of year examination, worth 34% of the overall study score.

Scored assessment is based on the Units 3 and 4 sequence of PML 30104 Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.
