Qualifications
The VCE VET Multimedia program has been replaced by the redeveloped VCE VET Interactive Digital Media program.
No new students may enrol in CUF20601 Certificate II in Multimedia or CUF30601 Certificate III in Multimedia in 2009 and beyond.
Students commencing the VCE VET Interactive Digital Media program, must enrol in either of the following qualifications:
- Program 1: CUF20107 Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media)
- Program 2: CUF30107 Certificate III in Media
Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Multimedia is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.
Credit in the VCE
For continuing students in VCE VET program CUF20601 and CUF30601:
Students who complete CUF20601 Certificate II in Multimedia will be eligible for up to two units of credit at Units 1 and 2 level.
Students who then complete CUF30601 Certificate III in Multimedia will be eligible for a Units 3 and 4 sequence.
Students who complete both CUF20601 and CUF30601 are eligible for up to four units of credit: two units at Units 1 and 2 level and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.
ENTER Contribution
Students wishing to receive an ENTER contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence VCE VET Multimedia must undertake scored assessment for the purpose of achieving a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the primary four or as a fifth or sixth study.
Scored Assessment
Students wishing to receive an ENTER contribution for VCE VET Multimedia must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 66% of the overall study score and an end of year examination, worth 34% of the overall study score.
Scored assessment is based on the Units 3 and 4 sequence of the Certificate III in Multimedia (CUF30601).
