Notice to Schools 52/2017 − 24 May 2017

Publication of 2017 VCE examination timetable

Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators and VASS Administrators

Main Points

The 2017 VCE examination timetable has been endorsed by the VCAA Board and is now available online.

The 2017 timetable has been developed using 2017 VCE and scored VCE VET Unit 3-4 enrolments and addresses the following key priorities:

  • minimising the number of students required to sit more than two examinations on any one day
  • minimising the number of clashes of two examinations in the same session
  • avoiding scheduling another examination on the same day as English and English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • creating a timetable that best accommodates the marking and processing requirements of each VCE written examination, providing the VCAA with sufficient time to ensure students receive their final VCE results by mid-December 2017.

Note that although VASS will now display the dates and times for 2017 VCE written examinations, Student Examination/Assessment Timetables for the 2017 VCE written examination period are not yet finalised.

This information will be available on VASS in the week beginning Monday 11 September.
