VCE Season of Excellence 2018

Copyright information for applicants

For information about copyright requirements for the VCE Season of Excellence please refer to our Copyright Guidelines (docx - 94.84kb).

Please note that these guidelines relate to the public display of your work. Students submitting works containing non-original materials will need to comply with strict copyright and legal requirements for the public exhibition of their work. This is different to the extent of copyright compliance required just for assessment purposes.

The following templates can be used when seeking copyright permission from a third party for the VCE Season of Excellence:

Top Screen Copyright Template (docx - 32.7kb)

Creative Commons

Many third-party materials that have been used in VCE Season of Excellence works are licensed through Creative Commons. Creative Commons licences are applied by copyright owners in order to allow some uses of their works ‘up front’, without an end-user having to seek permission. The idea behind the Creative Commons licensing scheme is to allow more flexible use, particularly for non-commercial uses, though some CC licences still set conditions on how the licensed work can be used (or reused) by end users.  Visit the Australian Creative Commons website for more information about the licences; see also the Australian Copyright Council which has a useful fact sheet on Creative Commons licenses.
