Transition Learning and Development Statement (TLDS)

Transition Learning and Development Statement

The 'Online TLDS' is a tool for writing and sharing Transition Learning and Development Statements (Transition Statements). This tool is available for use via the Insight Assessment Platform.

The Online TLDS has been designed with features to assist early childhood services to easily complete Transition Statements online and share them with schools via the Insight Assessment Platform.

Sharing a Transition Statement via the Insight Assessment Platform will give schools the ability to link a Foundation child's Transition Statement to their individual student record and to other online assessment data such as English Online Interview and the Mathematics Online Interview which are also hosted on the Insight Assessment Platform.

Transition Statements will need to be manually shared with Independent schools that are not using the Insight Assessment Platform as well as Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services. To enable manual sharing of Transition Statements, the Online TLDS tool also has a printing function.

Tools for Enhancing Assessment Literacy for Teachers of English as an Additional Language

The online Reading and Vocabulary assessment for English as an Additional Language students (RVEAL) is a new assessment instrument for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students in Years 3 to 10. RVEAL is one component of the Tools to Enhance Assessment Literacy for Teachers of EAL students (TEAL) toolkit.

TEAL provides teachers with resources to support EAL learners in Victorian schools, including those from a refugee background, students born in Australia and overseas and fee-paying international students.
