VCE VET Dance


Qualification

  • CUA20113 Certificate II in Dance with selected units of competency from the CUA30113 Certificate III in Dance: a preparatory qualification that allows learners to develop basic technical skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the live performance industry.

Credit in the VCE or VCAL

  • CUA20113 Certificate II in Dance: recognition of up to four units at Units 1 and 2 level and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

Note: The Units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET Dance is not designed as a stand-alone study. Students are strongly advised against undertaking the Units 3 and 4 sequence without first completing Units 1 and 2.

ATAR Contribution

Students wishing to receive an ATAR contribution for the Units 3 and 4 sequence in VCE VET Dance must undertake scored assessment for the purpose of achieving a study score. This study score can contribute directly to the ATAR, either as one of the student's best four studies (the primary four) or as a fifth or sixth study.

Where a student elects not to receive a study score for VCE VET Dance, no contribution to the ATAR will be available.

Scored Assessment

Scored assessment is available for CUA20113 Certificate II in Dance with selected units of competency from the CUA30113 Certificate III in Dance.

Students wishing to receive a study score for VCE VET Dance must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 50% of the overall study score and a performance examination, worth 50% of the overall study score.

Scored assessment is based on the Units 3 and 4 sequence of the VCE VET Dance program.
