The 2026 VCE Literature Text List has been updated to reflect changes to publishing details of a set novel.

The edition of The City and The City by China Mieville (2011) (ISBN: 9780330534192) is out-of-print. The new edition will be released in July 2025 with the ISBN: 9781035060245.

Copies of Smart Ovens for Lonely People by Elizabeth Tan (2020) (ISBN: 9781922267191) are available.

Action

Principals/Directors should ensure VCE Literature teachers are aware of the changes to publication details of The City and The City by China Mieville and the link to purchase Smart Ovens for Lonely People by Elizabeth Tan.
