Update: VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies (VEAC clarification)

On 30 June 2026, the Entities Legislation Amendment (Consolidation and Other Matters) Bill 2025 took effect, leading to the abolition of the Victorian Environmental Assessment Council (VEAC). The functions of VEAC have been transferred to the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability.

In 2026, the Unit 4 Area of Study 2 key knowledge point that contains VEAC as a body established by an act or convention that can be studied remains examinable as published. There is no change to this key knowledge point and its scope for examination in 2026.

Further information regarding implications for this change for 2027 and beyond will be provided soon.
