2026 VCE examinations update 

Principals/Directors, VCE Curriculum Leaders, Coordinators and teachers

Please visit the Examination specifications, past examinations and external assessment reports page for the following examination materials, now available and relevant to the upcoming VCE year:

• all 2025 examination papers
• new examinations specifications and samples for: VCE Systems Engineering and VET Equine Studies
• new written examination assessment criteria: VCE Outdoor & Environmental Studies, VCE Health & Human Development, VCE Physical Education
• 2026 performance assessment documentation.

Examination specifications and samples are developed when a study design is reviewed and should inform the teaching of the relevant studies.

Performance assessment documentation is updated each year and is used in the performance examination period in October.

2025 External Assessment Reports will be progressively published online throughout February and March. External assessment reports provide:

• information about how students performed in written, oral and performance examinations and externally assessed tasks
• detailed answers and partial or complete solutions to examination questions, statistics on performance, and commentary on the cohort's common misunderstandings and strengths.
