Notice to Schools 30 - 19 March 2026
2026 collection of student email addresses
Principals/Directors, VCE, VPC, VET Coordinators, and VASS Administrators
For students to receive their 2026 results and associated post-results services, schools are requested to enter student personal email addresses on VASS, as soon as possible for the following:
- students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence
- students enrolled in one or more VCE VM Unit 3–4 sequence.
Students with validated email addresses can also apply for Statement of Marks and Statement of Study Score to be emailed directly to that email address following results release.
Before the validation process begins, and to avoid a student's school email deactivating upon school completion, ensure students' personal email addresses are recorded on VASS.
2026 student email validation process
In Term 3, VCAA will undertake validation of student email addresses across 3 rounds of emails to students:
- Round 1: Initial email confirming registration of student’s email address for results delivery.
- Round 2: A sample email to show students what they can expect in their end of year results email. The sample results included in the email will NOT be the student’s actual, real, or expected results.
- Round 3: A final confirmation email.
Students should be made aware that the sender of these emails will appear as ‘VASS Support’. Please advise students that if they do not receive an email from VCAA, they should check their ‘SPAM’ folders.
There is no action required by students when they receive any of these emails.
Confirmation of student collections
As part of the initial enrolment data process earlier this year, schools should have ensured all students completed and signed the VCAA Student Personal Details and Declarations form. This complements the 2026 results release, as student are required to indicate whether they consent to the publication of their results in media outlets.
Whilst collecting students’ personal email addresses, schools may wish to use this an opportunity for students to review their consent regarding the publication of results in media outlets.
These student collections will ensure the VCAA has accurate student information in preparation for the 2026 results release on 7:00 am AEST Thursday 10 December.
The deadline for schools to amend student email addresses is Monday 9 November.
