Update: VCE English and English as an Additional Language (EAL) text lists
Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators, and VCE English and EAL teachers
The 2026 and 2027 English and EAL text lists have been updated to reflect information from Penguin Australia.
Penguin Australia has advised the VCAA that the edition of Mary Oliver’s poetry set for study (New and Selected Poems, Volume One, ISBN 9780807068779) will be replaced by a Penguin Classics edition (Selected Poems 1965 – 2005, ISBN 9780241810187).
Both editions contain the two sections set for study (‘Dream Work’ and ‘American Primitive’). The poems included in these sections are identical across the editions. Either edition is suitable for study.

Principals/Directors, please ensure VCE English and VCE EAL teachers are aware of the update to the VCE English and EAL text lists.
