VCE study review panels in 2020
Principals/Directors, VCE coordinators, relevant teachers and interested stakeholders
A number of VCE studies are due to be reviewed in 2020. VCE studies are reviewed on a cyclical basis, according to their accreditation period, to ensure that the VCE continues to meet Victorian community expectations for high-quality curriculum and assessment.
Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified people to participate in the curriculum review process for revised study designs for the following VCE studies undergoing a major review:
- VCE Algorithmics (HESS)
- VCE Art
- VCE Chemistry
- VCE Economics
- VCE English and English as an Additional Language
- VCE Literature
- VCE Mathematics
- VCE Music
- VCE Physics
- VCE Psychology
- VCE Studio Arts
- VCE Texts and Traditions.
Review panels typically consist of eight to 10 members from schools, universities, training, industry and business sectors. They are appointed according to their expertise and capacity to contribute to the review process.
Panel meetings are typically held at the VCAA office in the Melbourne CBD.
Applicants should familiarise themselves with the Principles and procedures for the development and review of VCE studies document on the VCE General Advice and Policy webpage.
Applications must be lodged by Friday 29 November 2019 through the VCAA’s SSMS website.
All applicants will be advised of the outcome of the nomination and approval process.
Principals/Directors should ensure this information is distributed to relevant personnel.
