Notice to Schools 32/2019 − 1 May 2019

NAPLAN 2019 test package delivery

Principals/Directors, NAPLAN schools and NAPLAN coordinators

Main points

For schools completing 2019 NAPLAN tests on paper 

  • Deliveries of NAPLAN test packages commenced on Tuesday 30 April 2019.
  • Schools that have not received their test packages by 4pm Tuesday 7 May 2019 should contact the NAPLAN Helpdesk.
  • Quantities of test books and stimulus materials should be checked upon arrival using the clear side panel of the tamper-evident bags. The tamper-evident bags must not be opened at this time. If there are insufficient quantities of any materials, use the NAPLAN Test Administration website to submit a request for extra materials.
  • Requests for extra materials must be received before midday Wednesday 8 May 2019.
  • Principals or NAPLAN coordinators may prepare the test books for distribution the day before the tests, but under no circumstances should test books or other secure materials be distributed to test administrators until the morning of the tests.
  • Principals should ensure that the security of all NAPLAN test materials is maintained until after the secure test period concludes on Friday 31 May 2019.
  • The test period for administering the paper tests is from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 May 2019.

For schools completing 2019 NAPLAN tests online

  • Schools undertaking NAPLAN Online will receive a delivery of secure NAPLAN materials from Tuesday 30 April 2019.
  • Schools that have not have not received a delivery by 4pm Tuesday 7 May 2019 should contact the NAPLAN Helpdesk.
  • These test materials are contingency packs and are not to be opened unless authorised by the VCAA.
  • The test period for administering the online tests is from Tuesday 14 to Friday 24 May 2019.
  • An email has been sent to all schools outlining the dates for the collection of NAPLAN 2019 test materials.

NAPLAN Test Administration website

The NAPLAN Test Administration website is now available for all schools to access. An email was sent to all schools which provided login details for the NAPLAN Test Administration website.

Schools are reminded that all details regarding NAPLAN 2019 attendance are to be recorded via the NAPLAN Test Administration website. Instructions for using the website during the test phase, including closing dates, are available on the home page and from the 'Help' section.

Critical dates

Tuesday 30 April 2019 – delivery of NAPLAN materials commenced

Tuesday 7 May 2019 – delivery of NAPLAN materials concludes

Wednesday 8 May 2019 – final day to request extra NAPLAN test material

Tuesday 14 May to Thursday 16 May 2019 – NAPLAN paper test window

Tuesday 14 May to Friday 24 May 2019 – NAPLAN Online test window

Thursday 23 May 2019 – NAPLAN Test Administration website closes

Friday 31 May 2019 – final day of the secure test period

 

Additional information

All student attendance information, including exemptions and withdrawals, must be entered into the NAPLAN Test Administration website before the website closes on Thursday 23 May 2019.
