Advice for assessing VCE Product Design and Technology and VCE Systems Engineering School-assessed Tasks during remote and flexible learning

Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators and teachers of VCE Product Design and Technology and VCE Systems Engineering

Professional learning videos have been prepared to provide  further advice and support for teachers with the assessment of the VCE Product Design and Technology and VCE Systems Engineering School-assessed Tasks during the period of remote and flexible learning in 2020. Links to these videos can be found on the VCE Product Design and Technology and VCE Systems Engineering study pages.

Teachers of VCE Product Design and Technology should note that the study's Frequently asked questions for 2020 Adjusted Study Design have also been updated.

Teacher of VCE Systems Engineering should note that corrections have been made to the VCE Adjusted Study Design for 2020 to fix inconsistencies in the original adjusted version (published on 1 May 2020). The corrections made were to pages 22 and 24, which now include references to ‘aspect of an integrated and controlled system’ to ensure consistency with the Revised VCE Systems Engineering: Administrative information for School-based Assessment in 2020. Teachers need to ensure they access and download the updated version from the VCE Systems Engineering study page.

Action required

Principals/Directors should ensure that teachers of VCE Product Design and Technology and VCE Systems Engineering are aware of this advice immediately.
