Notice 148

Notice to Schools 148/2020 – 7 October 2020

Indicative and Expected Grades submission dates for VCE Languages and performance examinations

Principals/Directors

Many VCE Languages studies have two components to the examination: an oral component and a written component.  The oral component is not a graded assessment on its own and therefore does not require the submission of an Indicative or Expected Grade.

VCE Languages Indicative and Expected Grades are therefore required to be entered on VASS by Monday 2 November.

For the other examinations that have a performance assessment, which is a defined graded assessment, primarily the performance arts studies (Music, Drama, Dance and Theatre Studies), the following schedule should be adhered to:

  • for students who have a performance examination between Monday 12 October and Sunday 18 October all Indicative and Expected Grades must be entered on VASS by Monday 12 October
  • for students completing performance examinations after Sunday 18 October all Indicative and Expected Grades need to be entered on VASS by Monday 19 October.

If you have any additional queries, contact Student Records and Results: student.records@education.vic.gov.au.

Action required

Principals/Directors should ensure:

  •  VCE coordinators, VASS administrators and relevant teachers are aware of this information.
