State final winners of the 2019 and 2020 VCAA Plain English Speaking Award (PESA), An Dang (Brunswick Secondary College) and Tierney Khan (Cornish College), will be presenting their winning speeches at the Wheeler Centre’s online event Politics and the Power of Plain Speaking on Tuesday 20 October 2020 from 4.30pm to 5.15pm.

To discuss the power of public speaking and the importance of young voices, they will also be joined by Oscar Pearce (Albert Park College), two-time PESA state finalist. Book your tickets to this free event on the Wheeler Centre website.

The Plain English Speaking Award is a public-speaking competition for students aged 15-18 years.
