Notice to Schools 66/2020 – 3 June 2020

2020 VCE performance and Languages oral examinations and Extended Investigation oral presentation scheduling

Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators and teachers of VCE Performing Arts studies, VCE Languages and VCE Extended Investigation

To assist with the timetabling of VCE performance examinations, Languages oral examinations and Extended Investigation oral presentations, schools are required to advise the VCAA of sigificant school-based functions, such as final year assemblies or graduation ceremonies, that will require student attendance for all or a significant part of a day within the rescheduled 2020 assessment period (Monday 12 October to Sunday 8 November 2020).

No more than one day may be nominated as being unavailable for timetabling and students may be timetabled either side of the nominated day.

Where schools do not respond to this notice, the VCAA will assume that there is unrestricted availability for timetabling students within the assessment period.

Please complete and return the 2020 Response Sheet (docx - 68.26kb) by Friday 19 June 2020.

Action required

Principals/Directors should ensure relevant school personnel:

  • complete the 2020 Response Sheet identifying whether all dates are available or which significant date is not available, including the reason for unavailability
  • return the 2020 Response Sheet by mail, facsimile or email by Friday 19 June 2020.
