Additional information

For further information, visit the Why become a VCE assessor webpage.

All employees of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority are required to have a current and satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).

Assessors of Language oral and performance examinations are also required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

However, teachers with current VIT registration (who have not been given a Negative Notice) do not need to undertake a WWCC. It is a legal requirement for a registered teacher who does other child-related work (apart from teaching) to notify WWCC Victoria of this work. This includes work as a language oral and performance assessor. Visit the WWCC website for the relevant Victorian teacher information.
