Notice 96 2021

Notice to Schools 96/2021 – 23 July 2021

Rescheduled date for the 2021 General Achievement Test

Principals/directors, VASS administrators and VCE and VCAL coordinators

The 2021 General Achievement Test (GAT) has been rescheduled to Thursday 12 August.

The rescheduling of the GAT allows schools time to organise logistics and put COVIDSafe protocols in place so the GAT can be delivered in line with relevant health and safety requirements.

We are working closely with all school sectors and the Department of Health and Human Services to make sure schools are provided with clear and up-to-date advice about arrangements for the conduct and administration of the GAT.

Updated operational and administration advice on running the GAT, including COVID-19 related health and safety advice, will be provided as soon as possible.

A revised date for the Extended Investigation Critical Thinking Test is still to be confirmed.

The scheduling of all other VCE examinations remains unchanged.

The rescheduled date for the GAT has been updated on our 2021 Important Administrative Dates and 2021 VCE examination timetable pages.

Action required

Principals/directors, please make sure that:

  • VASS administrators and VCE, VCAL and VET coordinators are aware of the rescheduled dates and plan appropriately
  • VASS administrators provide students with the updated Student Assessment/Examination Timetables where relevant.
