Reporting

Reporting on the DAL is available immediately following the submission of an assessment and is in the context of the Victorian Curriculum. The reports are complementary in analysing and interpreting student assessment results and include:

  • The Assessment Summary Report provides an indication of overall student performance within a curriculum level
  • The Guttman Chart Report identifies students with similar abilities and items with similar difficulties, facilitating the grouping of students and identification of learning needs across the classroom
  • The Item Response Summary Report facilitates a more detailed analysis of student performance at an item level
  • The Class Report provides a comparison between a pair of results for the same assessment type over time for a student group.

The reports can be exported in a range of formats and provide a range of perspectives and insights on student learning.
