Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0 Reference Panel
Expressions of interest to join Victorian Curriculum F-10 reference panels
Teachers and other interested parties are invited to apply to participate in the Auslan Language reference panel to revise the curriculum sequences in the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Auslan (First and Second Language Learner Pathways).
Expressions of interest applications close COB Wednesday 27 May, 2026.
The revision of the Victorian Curriculum F–10 for Auslan (First and Second Language Learner pathways) will adapt and adopt content from the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 to make it more streamlined for teachers to implement efficiently and effectively.
What the panels will do
As a panel member, you will ensure that the Victorian Curriculum F-10 continues to be a high-quality, relevant curriculum that meets the needs of students and teachers across the state.
Reference panels provide advice about the ways the curriculum needs to be revised and improved to best meet the needs of the students for whom it is specifically designed. Input from practising teachers and discipline experts is essential to this process.
The panel will consist of 10 to 12 members from schools, communities, universities, training and industry. Panel members are appointed based on their expertise and capacity to contribute to the revision process.
The work of these panels is expected to take place over a period of approximately 6 months to 12 months. Panel members will need to commit to attending at least one meeting every 4-6 weeks, or compressed blocks of equivalent time. All meetings for the Auslan panel will be in-person. Interpreters will be made available for all Auslan panel meetings. Meeting times, length and dates will be negotiated with panel members.
Work on the reference panels is voluntary. CRT payments are available for the release of panel members to attend meetings during school hours.
