Teachers should note that they should only access the 2020 Adjusted Study Design. Deletions are in red coloured text and strike through while changes are in blue coloured text and highlighted. It is imperative that the revised 2020 Adjusted Study Design is used for the remainder of 2020.
Examinations will be based on the key knowledge and skills contained in the 2020 Adjusted Study Design. The 2020 Adjusted Study Design includes adjustments to the key knowledge and skills and the scope of the assessment. Teachers can be assured that students will only be externally assessed on the content in the 2020 Adjusted Study Design.

VCE Algorithmics (HESS): Administrative information for School-based Assessment in 2020 (updated 14 September 2020)
A correction has been made to the VCE Algorithmics (HESS) Administrative information for School-based Assessment in 2020 to fix an error in the original version. The correction made is:
- Page 18 – Assessment criteria 3 for Unit 4: delete the last two descriptors in the 9–10 (very high) level of performance that were a repeat of the 1–2 (very low) level of performance. The 9–10 (very high) level of performance on page 18 should be blank. The deletion can be identified by the red coloured text and strikethrough.
Teachers need to ensure they access and download the updated version provided above.

Study Review Plan
The Study Review Plan provides key information on the review of VCE Algorithmics (HESS), being conducted in 2020/21. The Study Review Plan is currently being updated to reflect the new timelines due to the 12-month extension to the accreditation periods for all currently accredited VCE study designs. The updated Study Review Plan will be published soon. VCE study designs currently under review in 2020/21 will now be delivered by schools in 2023 (rather than 2022).
