Students are not eligible for this study if they have had either:
six months or more education in a school where Chinese is the medium of instruction, or
two years (24 months) or more residence in any of the VCAA nominated countries or regions.
The nominated countries and regions are China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Students cannot receive credit for both this study and any other VCE Chinese study.

Study Review Plan
The Study Review Plan provides key information on the review of VCE Chinese Language, Culture and Society, being conducted in 2020/21. The Study Review Plan is currently being updated to reflect the new timelines due to the 12-month extension to the accreditation periods for all currently accredited VCE study designs. The updated Study Review Plan will be published soon. VCE study designs currently under review in 2020/21 will now be delivered by schools in 2023 (rather than 2022).
Consultation on the proposed VCE Chinese Language, Culture and Society Study Design will be conducted in 2020/21.
