New posters for early years education

You can now download and display our 6 new illustrated A3 posters supporting the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

The first poster illustrates the VEYLDF Practice Principles for Learning and Development for children from birth to 8 years of age. The 8 principles describe the most effective ways for early childhood professionals to work together and with children and families to facilitate learning and development.

A series of 5 posters describes the VEYLDF Learning and Development Outcomes. The 5 outcomes provide a shared language for all early childhood professionals and families to use when assessing and planning for children’s learning and development.

As early childhood professionals become more familiar with the VEYLDF, they gain a deeper understanding of how their work supports children to build confidence in social and physical relationships and play, and to develop a sense of agency and control within their environments. Reflecting on and critically evaluating professional practice is at the heart of maintaining a continuous improvement culture in early years education.

We hope these bright and engaging posters will prompt curiosity of and understanding about the VEYLDF and be a valuable addition to the current suite of learning and development resources.
