Australian Institute of Technical Chefs 2022 Best of the Best competition

The Australian Institute of Technical Chefs (AITC) will again conduct the extremely successful and popular annual national competition for trainee chefs during September 2022.

The Best of the Best competition identifies trainees and students who consistently show excellence and the potential to be future leaders in the hospitality industry.

This year a new challenge category calls for applications from experienced professional chefs for funding for an industry related project up to $12,000.

VicPhys special relativity course

As part of its professional development program for out-of-field teachers, VicPhys is running a course on special relativity.

The course will consist of 6 weekly online sessions delivered on Thursdays from 20 October to 24 November. The intensive module will step you through key concepts and skills to successfully teach the relevant content in VCE Physics.

Premier’s Spirit of Democracy study tour competition

Year 9, 10 and 11 students are invited to apply for the 2023 Premier’s Spirit of Democracy competition to win a place on a study tour of Melbourne and Canberra in April 2023.

The tour will provide up to 22 Victorian school students and chaperone teachers the chance to explore modern democracy and what it means for young Australians.

Students with an interest in civics and citizenship, global politics, classics, legal studies, history or English, and who wish to build their leadership and critical and creative thinking skills, are strongly encouraged to apply.
