F–10 curriculum

Bushfire Education resources

Our Bushfire Education pages provide sequenced lesson plans and learning resources to help teachers better prepare their students for the challenges of living in a country that regularly experiences bushfires.

The lesson plans and resources are organised under the themes of learning about, preparing for, responding to and recovering from bushfires, and are suitable for students in Years 1 to 8.

Each lesson plan has a specific learning intention, is aligned to the relevant areas of the Victorian Curriculum F–10 and includes links to additional resources.

Online languages assessments

Schools can access our suite of free online languages assessments to support teachers implementing Victorian Curriculum F–10 Languages.

Developed with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), the multiple-choice listening and reading assessments are available for Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek and Spanish.

The assessments provide a snapshot of each student’s receptive reading and listening skills, which can then be used to better target the student’s learning needs.

To support you to use these assessments, watch our related series of recordings from previous professional learning webinars.
