VCE Offshore

Victorian schools delivering the VCE offshore

As international borders have reopened there has been heightened interest in the delivery of new VCE Offshore programs and a range of activity sweeping across existing programs.

Since 2000, Victorian schools have delivered the VCE internationally in partnership with schools offshore. There are currently 25 VCE programs delivered internationally: 21 in China, 1 in Malaysia, 1 in the Philippines, 1 in Timor-Leste, and 1 in Vietnam. Over 7 thousand students have completed their VCE internationally. Read about some of these student journeys.

This year, the VCE Offshore is expanding into new countries to support Victoria’s International Education Recovery Plan 2025 and is receiving license applications for the establishment of new VCE Offshore programs.

Travel has recommenced among Victorian and offshore partner schools, opening opportunities for study tours and delegations. Victorian schools are planning international VCE conferences to connect offshore teachers and their Victorian mentor teachers in professional learning, and the Study Melbourne Hubs has supported us to promote the VCE Offshore program to international audiences.

A highlight of this resumed travel was a recent visit by Melbourne Deputy Lord Mayor, Nick Reece, to the VCE Offshore program delivered by Haileybury Senior School Tianjin, during a City of Melbourne trade mission with a delegation of Australian business leaders. Tianjin is a sister city to Melbourne.
