Get VET posters arrive in secondary schools

A laboratory instructor monitoring a student's work

This week, all secondary schools in Victoria will receive a collection of Get VET posters, showcasing the valuable contribution that VET can make towards a student’s career exploration and pathway.

The posters will arrive ahead of Education Week (Sunday 19 May to Saturday 25 May), which this year focusses on celebrating careers. The posters offer an opportunity for schools to highlight the wide range of VET programs supporting student career goals.

The posters include:

This is how VET is different
Highlights how a VCE VET program is different to a VCE study or a VCAL unit.

This is how VET can prepare you for the jobs of the future
Provides information about how VET can develop student skills, knowledge and preparation for the world of work.

Which VET are you?
Helps students to identify a VCE VET program that aligns with their interests and career goals.

7 questions to ask yourself
Encourages students to reflect on their passions and strengths, and to identify relevant VET qualifications and industry experience.

What can I get from my VET?
Two flowcharts that show how a student’s VET may contribute to their VCE, VCAL, ATAR, a nationally recognised certificate or a statement of attainment.
