Students at Southbridges International School in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea will join their Victorian peers in studying VCE Units 1 and 2 in 2026 through a new partnership with Victorian school, Haileybury.

Part of the VCAA Offshore Program, experienced VCE teachers at Haileybury delivered a comprehensive induction program for Southbridges’ school leaders and teachers and will continue providing ongoing mentoring to support high-quality VCE delivery.

Representatives from the VCAA travelled to Port Moresby to visit the school in August 2025, as part of the VCE Offshore Quality Assurance Framework and licensing process.

The VCAA’s VCE Offshore program

The VCAA is proud to continue supporting senior secondary pathways for students in international schools. The VCE Offshore Program is delivered in 30 schools across China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Vanuatu and Vietnam, with programs starting in Singapore and Japan in 2026 and 2027 respectively. 

Each program is licensed by the VCAA through a Victorian partner school who provides support and mentorship for the program delivery.
