2025 Summary of changes
The following changes have been made to the VCE Administrative Handbook 2025 to support schools to appropriately meet the requirements to deliver the VCE in 2025.
- Consolidation of advice on the satisfactory completion of a unit and how it differs from levels of achievement
- Updated information on completing VCE units without calculation of study scores
- Consolidation of advice on the responsibilities of providers for the delivery of the VCE (previously School obligations to the VCAA)
- A new section on the maintenance of school records, summarising the responsibilities of schools for establishing, maintaining and disposing of VCE-related records
- Clarification of feedback to students, including the requirement that schools provide students with their initial school-based assessment score for individual SACs
- The addition of specific advice on generative AI and the authentication of school-based assessments
- The section on breaches of rules and investigations includes a new section on student complaints
- The addition of a list of terms used in the handbook
