VCE VET Cisco

 

 

 

Qualifications

CISCO Cisco CCNA v6: incorporates units from the Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies. The VCE VET Cisco program has been structured to provide recognition for CCNA V6. Cisco training must be delivered by a Cisco Local Academy. Units of competency have been written to address the Cisco curriculum. These sit within 22263VIC Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies. Units of competency must be completed and awarded by a registered training organisation that has the 22263VIC Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies on their scope of registration.

For VASS recording purposes, schools are required to enrol into 'CISCO CCNA v6'.

Program A: includes the training required to complete Programs CCNA v6 1 and CCNA v6 2. On successful completion of Program A, students will:

  • have completed three units of competency
  • have completed CCNA v6 1 and 2
  • be eligible for a statement of attainment for 22263VIC Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies
Credit in the VCE or VCAL: recognition of one Units 3 and 4 sequence.

Program B: includes the training required to complete Programs CCNA v6 3 and CCNA v6 4. On successful completion of Program B, students will:

  • have completed three units of competency
  • have completed CCNA v6 3 and 4
  • be eligible for a statement of attainment for 22263VIC Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies
Credit in the VCE or VCAL: recognition of one Units 3 and 4 sequence.

ATAR contribution

Students who receive a units 3 and 4 sequence through Cisco CCNA v6 will be eligible for an increment towards their ATAR (10 per cent of the lowest study score of the primary four studies).

Students who receive two units 3 and 4 sequence through Cisco CCNA v6 will be eligible for an two increments towards their ATAR (10 per cent of the lowest study score of the primary four studies).

Structured workplace learning recognition

The VCAA provides recognition for structured workplace learning for students undertaking VCE VET programs.

A workplace learning record booklet for VCE VET Cisco is currently under development.
