VCE curriculum

Submissions for the 2024 VCE Art Making and Exhibiting exhibitions list

Galleries, museums and other organisations are invited to recommend exhibitions, artworks and collections to be included on the 2024 VCE Art Making and Exhibiting exhibitions list.

The VCE Art Making and Exhibiting exhibitions list is published each year to support the teaching of content related to the VCE Art Making and Exhibiting study design.

For submission details and requirements, email the Visual Arts, Communication Design and Media Curriculum Manager.

Submissions close Friday 8 September.

VCE English and English as an Additional Language and VCE Literature 2026 text nomination process

Text nominations are now open for the 2026 prescribed text lists for VCE English and English as an Additional Language (EAL) and VCE Literature in the following categories:

  • VCE English and EAL List 1
    • novels
    • collections of poetry
    • non-fiction
  • VCE English and EAL List 2 (mentor texts) – nominated texts must connect to one of the ideas from the Framework of Ideas (see page 22 of the VCE English and EAL Study Design: Unit 1 and 2 – 2023–2027, Units 3 and 4 – 2024–2027)
    • short stories
    • essays
    • feature articles
    • speeches
    • podcast (with transcripts)
    • memoirs
    • biographies.
  • VCE Literature
    • novels
    • plays
    • collections of poetry
    • other works of literature

Please submit your nominations by Friday 15 September.

Nominations must address the nomination criteria as set out in the online nomination form.

The English Curriculum Manager and relevant text advisory panels will consider all nominations and store them for future consideration.

VCE assessment

Examination development panels – written examinations

Teachers and academics interested in examination development and with the appropriate experience and qualifications are encouraged to apply for a 2024 VCE and VCE VET examination development panel role.

Roles for the Examination Panel Chair, Examination Panel Member, Study Specialist and Examination Sitter reviewer are now open.

Applications can be submitted via the Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS) until Sunday 3 September.

Anyone applying for the panels below can also work on examinations for the 2025 VCE on a Northern Hemisphere timetable:

  • Accounting
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Chinese First Language
  • English/English as an Additional Language
  • General Mathematics examination 1 and examination 2
  • Mathematical Methods examination 1 and examination 2
  • Physics
  • Specialist Mathematics examination 1 and examination 2
