VCE exam development panel members making a difference

Teachers, trainers and academics invited to shape upcoming VCE assessments
The VCAA has opened applications for its 2026 VCE examination development panels.
These panels are a core part of the annual VCE assessment cycle, bringing together experienced teachers, academics and industry trainers to develop examinations used statewide. Their work plays a vital role in ensuring VCE students have access to high-quality, accurate and fair examinations.
Greg Naylor reflects on leading the Classical Studies panel
“Being a panel member is an invaluable professional development opportunity,” Greg said.
“The collegial interchange of ideas, along with different perspectives into the study design, makes it a thoroughly enjoyable and well-supported opportunity for teachers to directly shape the most significant summative task our students in Victoria will undertake.”
Byron Stanley on giving back to his profession
“After 40 years in furniture manufacturing and teaching in educational settings, I wanted to contribute to the industry that has given me so much,” Bryon said.
“I wanted to make the experience meaningful and valuable for VCE students, and since joining the VET Furnishing panel in 2020, I can see that I am making a difference.”
