Analysing your VCE results

The VCAA invites you to a series of professional learning sessions starting from 24 February on Analysing Your School’s VCE Results. These sessions are for school staff responsible for delivering the VCE who want to use data from the VCE Data Service and the VCE External Assessment Results Service.

The series will help build knowledge and skills in using the VCE assessment results to:

• identify strengths and weaknesses in your school’s VCE performance
• identify opportunities for improving student outcomes.

Training will be delivered in the following 4 modules:

• Study Score and Statistical Moderation
• External Assessments and Indicative Grades
• VCE Data Service and Adjusted Scores
• Student Longitudinal Progress.

2026 VCE VET scored assessment overview webinar 

For VCE VET coordinators and teachers, please register for the 2026 VCE VET scored assessment overview webinar:

• Monday 2 March, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

The VCE VET scored assessment overview webinar will include:

• an overview of the VCE VET Scored Assessment Guide
• generalist activities relating to the design and development of scored assessment tasks
• working through the VCAA templates for scored assessment.

You are invited to attend the 16 program specific webinars to be delivered 2 – 26 March. The webinars are open to all VET teachers, trainers and assessors, and all schools, RTOs and organisations involved in VET Delivered to School Students (VETDSS).

• An overview of the VCE VET Scored Assessment Guide
• Links to VCE VET scored assessment published resources
• A presentation by the VCE VET State Reviewer of a new sample task
• Discussion on developing assessment tasks for the scored Unit 3-4 sequence
• Discussion on applying and contextualising the scoring criteria
• Q&A session.

Changes to VCE and VPC audit program

From 2026, VCAA will implement a streamlined, two-stage audit program for all VCE and VPC providers, informed by sector feedback and the 2025 VCAA Independent Review.

More information will be provided at the annual Term 1 VCE and VPC Leaders’ Briefings.

2026 Unpacking external assessment reports

The VCAA is offering a series of webinars where leading assessors will unpack external assessment reports across a range of 2025 VCE examinations. 

You can now register for the following sessions, with more studies to come: 

• Tuesday 3 March: VCE Physical Education
• Wednesday 4 March: VCE Health and Human Development
• Thursday 19 March: VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies.

In these sessions, the webinars are designed to:

• support teachers
• strengthen understanding of VCAA-led assessments
• provide a focus on student performances, and strategies for improvement.

Prior to attending, schools will also have the opportunity to submit questions in advance. Please read the external assessment reports before submitting any questions.
