Amendments to the VCE Mathematics Study Design (2023–2027)
Principals/directors, VCE coordinators and VCE Mathematics teachers
The following amendment has been made to the VCE Mathematics Study Design (2023–2027), effective immediately:
- Unit 3 and 4: General Mathematics, Area of Study 2, Outcome 1 for Matrices key knowledge, second dot point (page 91) has been separated into 2 dot points:
- the inverse of a matrix and the condition for a matrix to have an inverse, including determinant
- for transition matrices, assuming the next state only relies on the current state with a fixed population
