Victorian Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge 2018

Are you involved in a culinary competition for Secondary School students in Victoria?

Each year the Australian Culinary Federation (ACF) conducts a cooking competition for secondary school students in many Australian states. In 2018, ACF will host a Victorian competition for the first time.

The aim of the competition is to give students an insight into the hospitality industry and to identify and encourage students who demonstrate a talent and passion for cooking. The competition also opens doors to future training and employment for competitors.

The ACF is eager to find out about regional competitions that are already happening in Victoria. The winners of these regional competitions will receive entry into an ACF state competition.

ACF state competition winners receive automatic entry into the National Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge, as well as training opportunities and other benefits.

If you are hosting, involved in or are aware of culinary competitions for secondary school students in Victoria at any time during the year, ACF would love to hear from you.

Seeking research participants from secondary school dance teachers

Deakin University researchers are investigating the professional experiences of secondary school teachers who deliver the dance curriculum.

Participation will entail completing a short questionnaire and discussing your dance teaching experiences and objectives with a member of our research team. You will also be asked about the kinds of professional development activities you participate in or would like to participate in.

If you would like to know more or to participate in this study please contact Dr Sally Gardner on 0405 578 968 or at sgardner@deakin.edu.au.
