Coursework Audits 2017

Results and feedback from 2017 VCE VET Coursework Audits were sent to principals or managers of the Assessing Group in February. We encourage teachers of VCE VET programs to ensure they receive the outcome of the audit from their principal. If training and assessment is conducted externally within a cluster or at an RTO, schools and assessing groups are reminded to forward the audit results to these trainers and assessors.

If audit results are satisfactory, no further action is required by schools and assessing groups.

Where a school or assessing group does not meet the VCAA Assessment requirements, improvement in task design is required and teachers/trainers should attend the relevant VCE VET Scored Assessment workshop and make contact with the VCAA VET Unit. The school will be re-audited for the same program in 2018. Notification of audits in 2018 will be sent in late August.

Structured Workplace Learning recognition workshops: new dates and times for 2018

The VCAA will be conducting additional workshops for schools interested in implementing Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) recognition. Schools and LLENs are invited to attend a SWL Recognition Workshop to enable the implementation of the program in the school/cluster in 2018. Schools must attend to understand the administrative and assessment requirements, as well as to enable access to the program on VASS for enrolments.

The workshops will be conducted in Term 2. We invite school leaders, teachers and trainers to let us know their location preferences by responding to our survey. Locations will be determined based on feedback from the survey.
