2023 Structured Workplace Learning recognition webinar

Look out for details in the next edition of the Bulletin and at VET professional learning.

Expressions of interest for VCE VET programs under review in 2023

If you are an experienced teacher or trainer, consider becoming a member of our reference groups for the major review and redevelopment of the following VCE VET programs:

  • Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation and Ecosystem Management
  • Applied Fashion Design and Technology
  • Community Services
  • Furnishing
  • Health
  • Laboratory Skills
  • Sport and Recreation.

These programs remain unchanged for 2023. Notification of VCE VET program redevelopments will be published in the Bulletin. If you would like to be involved in this process, please register online.

VCE VET state reviewer vacancies for 2023

Applications are invited for the vacant VCE VET state reviewer positions for 2023 in:

  • Hospitality
  • Cookery
  • ICT

State reviewers can be teachers of the program at Units 3 and 4 level. The VCE VET State Reviewer is a paid position and those appointed are required to undertake a range of activities including participating in VCAA professional development, providing feedback and advice to schools and RTOs, assisting in the preparation of published advice regarding scored assessment, conducting coursework audits and preparing feedback on the coursework audits.

TAE training package update – TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

The new TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, supersedes and is equivalent to TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

The Trainer and Assessor qualification requirements in Schedule 1 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations remain unchanged. There is currently no requirement for existing trainers and assessors to attain the new TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
