Young Australian Best Book Awards 2024 Virtual Author Program

The Department of Education has partnered with the Young Australian Best Book Awards (YABBA) to provide 10 free online interactive sessions with popular children's authors throughout 2024.

The Virtual Author Program is an opportunity for students to engage with well-known writers and illustrators, hear book readings, and discuss their work and the importance of reading.;

The next Virtual Author Program session is during Harmony Week on Tuesday 19 March at 9:30am and features Tania Ingram, author of the popular Jinny and Cooper series and the hilarious Aggie Flea series.

All registered schools will have access to the live virtual author sessions and recordings of past sessions to watch at any time.

Students can vote for their favourite books in the YABBA awards. Nominations close Thursday 28 March 2024 and winners will be announced later in the year.

Find out how your school can attend the free Virtual Author Program sessions with popular Australian children's authors or to register, please visit: www.yabba.org.au or contact YABBA via email: answers@yabba.org.au.
