Notice to Schools 30/2021 – 4 March 2021
Professional development for newly appointed VASS Users: March, April, and May 2021
Principals/Directors, VASS administrators, VCE coordinators and VCAL coordinators
In March, April, and May 2021, the VCAA will conduct professional development training specifically designed for VASS administrators who are new to their position or who have never used VASS. This will be particularly useful for new schools offering a VCE, VET or VCAL program for the first time in 2021.
It is strongly recommended that current VASS administrators mentor new administrators as part of their induction and handover in this very important role.
This professional development will be undertaken remotely. The training will be self-paced over a one-week period with trainees following video-guided exercises related to the most common VASS activities.
Each attendee will receive:
- a VASS New User’s Manual
- access to a video walkthrough of 48 VASS new user exercises
- access to a VASS training environment for one week to complete exercises
- an invite to a one-hour Q&A session with our VASS Support team members.
Full details and registration information is available on the
VASS professional learning webpage.
